Club Night, Tuesday, 4 July 2023 @ 6.30pm

Twenty one of us met at 6.30pm and went out from Warrior Way, with 21 boats going out too. This included 3 ladies and 5 responsible adults. We went towards Cosheston Pill way, which meant we went against wind going back and possibly on the tide turn too.

High tide was forecast to be 8pm. With a weather forecast of brisk WNW winds, we were pleasantly surprised to have a beautiful and fairly calm evening, so the paddle back was easier than anticipated.

The younger ones who came - 9 in total - had fun forming lifesaving rafts with their boats. This went on for some time, but it was good practice for them anyway.

Coming back the wind was against us, but wasn’t too bad at all.

All in all, a very pleasant evening in calm conditions.

Details were discussed afterwards about when helpers and organisers would meet and what their roles were for Roland Perkins Memorial Race Day (Sunday, 9 July).

Some photographs are attached.
